2017-2020

dotSHF was the name of Sheffield’s “Digital Coalition”, and was the result of a collaboration between Sheffield Digital and Sheffield City Council. The dotSHF network connected people and organisations whose work contributes to the digital development of the city. The network used a ‘domain model’ to identify areas in which digital technology is having an impact on citizens’ lives and then worked to build relationships within and between those areas through workshops and regular public round table meetings.

dotSHF was also the ‘container’ for Sheffield’s 5G bid to Government in 2018. The network is currently dormant, as priorities changed during the Covid pandemic, but the network may still be resurrected and regular activities resumed
